Working at Height

Working at height remains one of the leading causes of death and injury in the workplace. Working at height can be defined as working in any place where, and if there were no precautions in place, they could fall. This includes individuals working both above and below ground level. Therefore, employees of all levels working at height should receive training in mitigating risk, identifying hazards and knowledge of the latest legislation.

  • Course Duration: This is a half-day course and takes approximately 3 hours to complete.
  • Assessment: A small test at the end of the course.

What are the learning outcomes for this course?

To ensure that anyone who works at height is trained to do so safely & that they understand relevant legislation and roles and responsibilities for anyone who works at heights or alongside them.

How is this course assessed?

This course will require completing a small test at the end of the course.

e-learning

If you prefer to self-study, we provide an e-learning course requiring a minimum time of self-study which may differ depending on the course and your previous knowledge or expertise in the field or area.

Closed Courses

A closed course is available for your team only. If you have multiple team members who require training, this is logistically easier and cost-effective for upskilling your team.

  • On Site

    This course is delivered by a trainer on-site. If you don’t have a room suitable on your site for training, you may hire a local venue where we can deliver this training to your team members.

  • Stallard Kane Training Room, Gainsborough

    This course is available in our training room in Gainsborough and is suitable for businesses that do not have training facilities.

Harness Awareness

We also offer a Working at Height with harness awareness course, which covers additional theory, including how to fit a harness and carry out pre-use checks correctly. This theory is in addition to this Working at Height course.
